RE:Inventory
The concept ‘RE:Inventory’ started in 2016 as an in-house initiative to revitalize un-sold inventory. Due to the ever-changing nature of fashion, items in our wardrobe can end up feeling outdated, but that doesn’t mean they are useless.
I wanted to challenge myself to find ways of transforming older designs into a revitalized/fresh version through cutting up, adding on, dying, or other alterations.
The first RE:Inventory item was the AW17 Pull-Over Pleated Raglan. When this design was revisited, it was cut in a way that created both the Pleated Cardigan and the Pleated Tank.
In addition to re-worked inventory, RE:Inventory now includes upcycled clothing, accessories, and home-goods developed from collected fabrics, trims, buttons, beads, and scraps in the studio. Everything is made on a small scale of less than 10 pieces per style.
COLLABORATE + CUSTOM PROGRAM
If you want to breathe fresh energy into tired belongings, let’s talk! I would love to work with you on ways to re-invigorate or re-purpose your wardrobe.
Let’s say you have pieces of clothing that you used to love but aren’t loving so much anymore. I will work with you to transform them into new items you want to wear or use. Perhaps your favorite blouse is beyond repair, but you love the embroidery, we can turn it into an entirely new item for you or your home.
There are endless ways to re-use materials around us. I’m often thinking about how innovation and design can further a product’s life-cycle.
If you’re interested in working together please get in touch. We’ll set up a time to talk about your project in depth before we put together an individual sketch and proposal for you. Pricing varies depending on complexity, labor, and materials.
